The Problem

As part of the marketing and GTM function, I frequently had to collaborate with the design and website development teams to create landing pages, campaign assets, and web experiences.

The traditional workflow created multiple operational challenges:

  • Marketing teams shared static references, briefs, or text-based explanations.
  • Designers interpreted those requirements differently based on their understanding.
  • Multiple rounds of revisions were required to align expectations.
  • Website teams lacked clear visual and structural references during implementation.

This created a significant gap between:

  • What was envisioned by marketing,
  • What was designed by the creative team,
  • And what was ultimately developed.

The process became heavily dependent on repeated back-and-forth discussions, approvals, and design iterations.

Impact of the Problem

The inefficiencies in the workflow led to:

  • Slow turnaround times for landing pages and campaign assets.
  • High dependency on multiple design iterations.
  • Misalignment between stakeholder expectations and final output.
  • Increased communication overhead across teams.
  • Delays in campaign launches and website updates.

In many cases, the marketing team had to repeatedly explain the same concept multiple times before achieving the desired output.

Solution Designed & Implemented

To solve this, I created an AI-assisted prototype-to-development workflow that transformed abstract design discussions into ready visual references and functional prototypes.

Instead of sharing only briefs or static references, I started creating actual front-end prototypes using AI tools before handing them over to the design and development teams.

How the Workflow Worked

Step 1: Prototype Generation Using AI

  • Used ChatGPT to generate HTML-based website structures and layouts.
  • Created working prototypes instead of static requirement documents.

Step 2: Frontend Refinement

  • Used Lovable to improve the visual quality and frontend experience.
  • Aligned the prototypes with Exotel's brand guidelines, UI patterns, and visual identity.

Step 3: Developer Handoff

  • Shared the functional prototype and HTML codebase directly with the website development team.
  • Developers could now:
    • Visually understand the requirement.
    • Use the HTML structure directly.
    • Build production-ready assets significantly faster.

This eliminated ambiguity around:

  • Layouts
  • Design expectations
  • Content hierarchy
  • User flow
  • Interaction structure

My Role & Execution

I independently drove the initiative across:

  • Workflow redesign
  • AI-assisted prototyping
  • Frontend structure generation
  • Stakeholder alignment
